Honest Place is a guesthouse on a unique location in Burgau, the western Algarve, one of the last remaining unspoilt regions of southern Europe.
Raised by the ocean, sun and wind and originated by nature.
The house is tucked away in the fold of a valley, snuggled beside the ocean and a sandy beach.
Here you can experience the traditional charm of the old fishermen’s villages as Burgau and Salema.
Inspired by nature, we created this place on top of the Barrancão Hill, facing the shimmer of the Atlantic and looking over the rolling green valley of Boca do Rio.
This extraordinary and protected environment of the Costa Vincenta Natural Park makes our guest house a real haven of tranquillity and a stunning place for your getaway.

This exceptional villa with 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms is located on a quiet hillside between the picturesque villages of Burgau and Salema.
And you’ll find yourself 500 meters walking distance from the pristine beach of Cabanas Velhas.
The house was renovated to an exceptional standard in 2017 by the previous owners and the garden has been taken care of with an abundance of love and care.
Here you can find yourself strolling around, surrounded by old olive and fig trees.
Or smell the freshness of our lemons and orange trees. Discover different fruit trees like apple, pear, grapefruit, plum, nectarine and grapevines in our garden or enjoy the beauty of the home-grown vegetablegarden. In short, a true nature-lover’s paradise.
At Honest Place, we aim high to enhance the connection to our beautiful surroundings and nature. The garden therefore has a solar panel, and the warm water is generated by panels on the roof. Please keep in mind it takes a few minutes before warm water will flow.
Two of the bedrooms look over the garden at the ocean side, with access to the front terrace, and the other four bedrooms lead out on to their own private balconies, which have astonishing views out towards the hills of Barão de São Miguel.
There is a seamless flow between the rooms and large windows that open out to the balconies and garden.
As our guest, you’ll have access to our shared living space to simply relax or share stories around the fire place.
And there is a fully equipped kitchenette for you to use, to make yourself your favourite breakfast, lunch or dinner, located on the ground floor with access to the outdoor places.
We provide our guests ceramic plates, cutlery, cooking utensils and serving dishes as well as basics for cooking suchas salt and pepper and olive oil and feel free to use fresh rosemary and herbs from our garden and our fruits from the vegetable garden.
The spacious living room has twin patio doors opening on to the front garden and the covered terrace. In the communal spacious living room, guests can relaxand even use the fireplace, cosy on cooler days and winter nights.
Please respect all our guests and keep it quite after 10pm. Access to the outdoor terrace and 10 m long, saltwater, non-heated pool on the first floor is allowed from 9 am till 8 pm.
As this part of the house includes also the private area of your host, please use the outdoor stairs to come upstairs and enjoy the panoramic view of this magnificent coastline.
